Training - because you need it

Sequoia Equipment Company provides service in all aspects of the construction and agricultural industries.  We are very excited to announce that we have added a brand new area of service and support for our customer-partners.  We can now offer the following courses for you and your team:
On Site Operator Training courses

• Lift Truck
• Aerial Work Platform
• Aerial Boom lift
• Mobile Crane,
• Rough Terrain Lift Truck
• Front End Loader (Wheel Loader)
• Loader / Backhoe
• Skid Steer Loader/Compact Track

These are full day classes that we can bring to your location. The courses include half day class room Operator Training with the balance of the day dedicated to hands-on evaluation using your equipment.  (English and Spanish version  available)

  Course Objectives

• Proper method of pre-shift inspection.
• Correct methods of re-fueling/battery charging.
• Knowledge of information contained in the equipment operators manual.
• Correct methods of safe load handling.
• Operational limitations, including stability and capacity.
• Similarities and differences from driving an automobile.
• Identifying work place hazards and how they relate to safe equipment operation.
• Function and use of equipment controls and instrumentation
• Characteristics of steering and maneuverability
• Problems of visibility
• Correct operation of loaded or unloaded equipment on ramps or inclines
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules as provided via lecture, videotape and group discussion

In addition to the onsite training, we also offer monthly operator training classes conducted at our facility in Fresno. These classes will be offered routinely, so check our event calendar for the monthly offerings. Although Eric Andersen is relatively new to Team Sequoia, he has been a great fit and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in heavy equipment, site management, safety and operations. Eric is a certified instructor/trainer and qualified to certify your trainees in operation and maintenance.
